Curtain walls

GammaStone AIR panels can be perfectly used as a filling element of curtain walls, both with mechanical fastening and with structural fastening.

Regardless of the technology used for the construction of the curtain wall (mullion or transom, independent cells or conventional windows), the GammaStone AIR panels can be used as a filling that ensures a high quality exterior finish. Moreover, thanks to the steel sheet on the back of the panel itself, it provides the best protection against flames coming from inside the building. In this way, the finish is not flammable by fire coming from inside or outside the building. The rear stainless steel sheet is also perfectly compatible with the normal structural silicone (mono and bi-component) used in window frames for structural bonding of glass and sheet metal panels. Therefore, GammaStone’s AIR panel can be structurally bonded to the façade grid, after the usual tests and by complying with the regulations in force according to international technical guidelines. (For. Ex. ETAG002 – DIRECTIVE FOR EUROPEAN TECHNICAL APPROVAL OF STRUCTURAL GLAZINGS (SSGS).

According to UNI EN 12664, the AIR panel guarantees a thermal transmittance of 4.22 W / m2 ° K and contributes to the thermal insulation of the building despite its minimal thickness and high aesthetic value.

CURTAIN WALL TYPICAL DETAILS

GammaStone AIR panels can be used with the most common profiles for curtain walls on the market. They can be installed either with structural silicones or with profile stoppers. The use of panels profile stoppers allows the construction of the facade with “frames”.
